Good morning, Christmas Music Connoisseurs! The Dawn of CCOTY 2021 has broken and it’s a good day for Christmas music reconnaissance!

The two categories for this year are:

1. Christmas Carol of the Year 2021 > Best Christmas song you can find. A fine-dining expericence of the Yule kind. A zinging stanza.A music flavour bonanza.
2. Best ‘Driving Around looking at Christmas Lights’ Christmas Song > It sparkles, it’s colourful, it’s quintessential Christmas shimmer, with room for groove.

You have 12 days of searching before the sun sets on this foray into the world of tasteful Christmas tunes.

Go forth and seek … find … bring it home.

If nothing else – it should just be a good Christmas music list. Sometimes there are ‘maverick’ submissions. We don’t apologize for this. The journey is fraught with danger.

Out of these songs – nominations are chosen. So you can join the upset when a song you like isn’t chosen – and join the euphoria when you fave makes it to the final.

Submissions for the sub-category – Best ‘Driving Around looking at Christmas Lights’ Christmas Song – will be placed in the Sub-Category Submissions playlist. Maybe wear sunglasses when listening to these!
