Honestly. I haven’t been this excited about a CCOTY nominees suite since 2010. Those of you who know what I mean – know what I mean. And here’s the thing – most of these years finalist are a Capella. Whoa! Hold the phone! I admit it. CCOTY has had historical bias against a Capella – so the fact that I’m exited about this years line up should speak volumes! …
So turn up your speakers and get ready to behold the

Glad to see there’s some class to choose from this year.
Ha! Just a different type of class Ains – just a different type.
Is this implying that there has been no class previous years?
It couldn’t possibly be! Cause dis comp is pure class!!!
It is to say that some were a little underwhelmed with 2016s options. But previous years had lacked no class for sure!
Fair enough. Perhaps for some. But gosh – Vulfpeck was a revelation last year – still rocking my world. And Patti’s pipes – inspirational!!
I’d just like to take a moment to thank the team at ‘Christmas Carol of the Year’ for combining two of my favourite genres of music for this competition: ‘movie sound tracks’ and ‘Christmas music’. There are few combinations of music that are happier than this.
(Still #geekingout on the official ‘Christmas Carol of the Year’ list though!!!)
Rebecca
Thanks so much, Rebecca!
On behalf of myself and the CCOTY Committee – we’re pretty chuffed that you’re chuffed. Your commitment to the comp and the perpetuity of GREAT Christmas music is much appreciated!
