Congratulations to Pentatonix– winner of 2014′s Christmas Carol of the Year!
Christmas Carol of the Year has never before crowned an A Capella number as Carol of the Year – but 2014 has seen the currently very popular vocal group take the gong with a haunting rendition of ‘Mary, Did you know?’. I hazard a guess that Mary did know – but she would never have guessed that the song would have done so well some 2000 years later with an intriguing and harmonious arrangement, delivered unto us by the greatly talented, Pentatonix.
Painfully close in the votes was Earth, Wind & Fire’s ‘Joy to the World’, the morale boosting, beat bestowing, groove gifting tune that will forever live on in our hearts, if not on the list of CCOTY Winners.
So, after another successful hunt, the gates are thrown open again to our skilled searchers …
Is there a Christmas song that takes you to the heights?
A song that inspires?
A song that rocks your world?
A song that could be … nominated?
Until Christmas 2015 … the search for the star continues …
